Returning from loan
A number of players came back at the end of their loans in late June, including Marcus Rashford (from Barcelona) and Harry Amass (from Norwich). Rashford is part of the squad list on our squad page.
Who left
Rasmus Højlund moved to Napoli on a permanent deal on 30 June after returning from his loan there.
Casemiro left as a free agent and joined Inter Miami on 21 July.
Radek Vítek joined Middlesbrough on 7 August.
Altay Bayındır went on loan to Celta Vigo on 6 August.
André Onana went on loan to Trabzonspor on 2 July.
How the spending adds up
The club said it committed £155m to these deals, including add-ons. Stock-exchange filings released the next day showed the summer's total spending was £191.7m. The Manchester Evening News reports that the gap is partly agents' fees, the Premier League's 4% transfer levy and the cost of academy signings.
